Andrea

My name is Andrea and I am incurably in love with the world of pastry making.
The art of kneading dough is a need that has grown within me, a true need that has slowly but surely made its way into my life, leading me to radically change my plans: from the dark suit and my hands swathed in papers related to my law studies, to the pastry chef's jacket and my hands always dirty with dough, whisks, and candied fruit.

With my brothers, Roberto and Luca, I share the same dream: to give you the taste of a smile, the flavor of an emotion, the scent of joy, enclosed in the softness of my doughs, the crunchiness of the glazes, and the sweetness of the creams and candied fruit that color my creations.

Five years ago, ABLAB was born, together with my team, as a place built on vision, sacrifice, and a genuine love for this profession.
A laboratory that wasn't just a place to create sweets, but a home of ideas, research, and beauty.
A place where tradition could meet study, taste, an obsession for detail and the desire to create something that would last.

We started from here, from our homeland, with hands full of flour and dreams perhaps bigger than ourselves.
We chose to believe in the power of things done well, in the slowness of leavened products, in the quality of raw materials, and in the value of a product capable of speaking for itself at first taste.

Over time, that small, deeply local dream began to travel.
It has transcended the city limits, then the region, until it reaches the tables of many people throughout Italy.
And every colomba, every panettone, every creation that left the laboratory carried with it a piece of our history.

Today ABLAB is the result of a journey built day after day, without shortcuts.
But above all, it demonstrates that even a small local business, when it has a strong soul and a clear vision, can become recognizable, loved, and remembered everywhere.

And ultimately, what really matters has never changed:
do things with truth, excite through taste and continue to knead dreams, every day.
